Our 2025 cohort includes community advocates who have been tirelessly working to create change in their neighborhoods and cities throughout the region. It includes organizers from labor and economic development sectors, immigrant rights and criminal justice reform, and environmental and transportation justice movements. Learn more about our fellows by visiting our website.

We are excited to have 16 fellows ready to roll up their sleeves and hone their skills over the next six months and beyond. Hailing from communities across the Bay Area, our fellows bring lived experiences around our key policy areas: equitable land use, housing justice, and transportation and mobility justice.

Since 2009, Urban Habitat has worked to democratize power through our BCLI program. The BCLI is a strategy to advance an equity agenda inside government by championing transformative policies through commission service.

We feel honored that these committed advocates chose the BCLI to build their skills and become more effective leaders. Please join us on January 16th and meet them in person!
