Welcome, Rising Juntos!

We are excited to introduce Rising Juntos, a new community-powered organization that is being fiscally sponsored by Urban Habitat!

Rising Juntos builds leadership and power to advance racial, economic, and health justice in Contra Costa County. With a membership of over 200 resident leaders, they support underrepresented Black and Brown families in advancing community priorities and equitable policies. They focus on:

• Housing & Economic Security
• Parks & Land Use
• Immigrant & Racial Justice
• Equitable Representation

Rising Juntos builds on a 20-year track record of resident organizing as the West, Central, and East County Regional Groups. Urban Habitat has had the opportunity to work with the regional groups for almost ten years. We have partnered with them on Planning Institutes; a community report on the housing needs of Antioch residents; and winning a rent stabilization ordinance in Antioch.

We look forward to continuing our work with Rising Juntos and supporting their power-building and advocacy efforts.
